Bringing Hope & Joy to Local Families During the Holidays

The holidays should be a time of joy, but for families struggling to make ends meet, providing gifts for their children can feel like an impossible expense.

Manger Mall exists to change that.

Since 2009, Manger Mall has helped local families provide Christmas gifts for their children by giving families the opportunity to choose gifts that are meaningful to their own children. Today, Manger Mall is a program of Thrive Chelan Valley, continuing a tradition of bringing hope, dignity, and joy to families throughout the Lake Chelan Valley.

How Manger Mall Works

Manger Mall supports families with children attending Chelan and Manson schools who may need a little extra help during the holiday season. Families can apply online in English or Spanish beginning in November.

Registered families receive Lake Chelan Chamber Bucks gift certificates for each eligible child. These certificates can be used at participating businesses throughout the Lake Chelan Valley, allowing parents and caregivers to choose gifts their children will truly enjoy.

This approach gives families something especially important: the ability to choose. Rather than receiving donated toys or predetermined gifts, parents can shop for their own children and celebrate the holidays in a way that works best for their family.

A Community-Powered Program

Manger Mall operates entirely through the generosity of our community. Every donation helps local families experience a little more joy and a little less stress during the holiday season.

Manger Mall is not a toy drive. Because of the way the program is structured, we are unable to accept toy donations. Financial contributions allow us to provide families with gift certificates that can be used at local businesses, while also supporting our local economy.

Whether you give, shop at a participating local business, or help spread the word, you are helping make Christmas a little brighter for children and families in our valley.
